Eastern Conference Champions (often abbreviated ECC) is an American indie rock band from Philadelphia consisting of Josh Ostrander, Greg Lyons, and former CKY bassist Vern Zaborowski. They are currently signed to Suretone Records.

Band History

Eastern Conference Champions (also known as ECC) began as the duo of Ostrander and Lyons, after they left their previous band "Laguardia" following conflicts with Universal Records, their label. The two found themselves working landscaping jobs during the day, and recording together afterwards. Eventually that material became released as "The Southhampton Collection-EP ". They added bassist Vern Zaborowski, who had recently parted ways with CKY, to complete the trio. The EP was eventually released on Retone Records in March 2006. The president of Geffen records responded very favorably to the these recordings, and the band was signed to a new Branch of the Universal Music Group. [Fritz, Jose. Suretone Records

The band is currently signed to Suretone Records (a sub-label of Geffen Records). They worked with British producer Owen Morris, on recording their first full-length album Ameritown, which was released on July 17th, 2007.

In 2007 Suretone began a marketing blitz to promote Ameritown their new LP. It contained re-recordings of a few tracks from the Southampton EP but is almost entirely comprised of original works. The secret track is also titled "Ameritown." Maura Davis from Denali (band) guests on the song "Hollywood."

Television Appearances
