Irvine Dearnaley

Irvine Dearnaley

Irvine Dearnaley (February 18, 1877 — March 14, 1955) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire. He was born in Glossop and died in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Dearnaley made his debut for the team during the 1905 County Championship, in which he played two games. Derbyshire finished third-bottom of the County Championship and Dearnaley went nearly two years before his next first-class appearance, which came during a South African tour of England.

Dearnaley played just once more during his first-class career, in an innings defeat against Yorkshire in which every player but one in the Derbyshire team finished in single figures. Dearnaley was an upper-order batsman for the Derbyshire team.
