William Raworth Cooper

William Raworth Cooper, a Representative from New Jersey; born near Bridgeport, Gloucester County, N.J., February 20, 1793; attended the local schools; engaged in agricultural pursuits; member of the State general assembly 1839-1841; elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1839-March 3, 1841); resumed agricultural pursuits until his death near Bridgeport, N.J., on September 22, 1856; interment in the Cooper family burying ground, near Bridgeport, N.J.
