Bhat (food)

Bhat ( _ne. भात) is a Nepalese preparation of rice and the main ingredient of one of the most popular and traditional dishes in Nepal and parts of India, which is called 'Daal, Bhat & Tarkari'. Bhat is the cooked rice, daal is a type of lentil soup & Tarkari is curried vegetables. Sometimes referred to as 'Bhuja,' bhat is made using basmati rice cooked with butter or ghee.
