Florida Keys Community College is the southernmost college in the United States. With a main campus in Stock Island, Florida and centers scattered up the Keys in Marathon and Key Largo, the college offers two year degrees as well as unique programs in subjects like Marine Technology, Ceramics and Diving Business.

Historic highlights

*Fall 1965: The first classes of the new College began under the leadership of Dr. Merrill A. Symonds, the first President.
*1967-1979: Dr. John Sylvester Smith, served as President.
*July 1, 1979: The Board of Trustees appointed Dr. William A. Seeker as the third president of the college.
*January 24, 1980: Dr. Seeker presided over the gala opening of the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center with the world premiere presentation of the play "Will Mr. Merriweather Return from Memphis?" by local resident Williams.
*May 2007: Dr. Jill Landesburg-Boyle took the helm as the new college president.
