Muhammad Ali Hasan

Muhammad Ali Hasan (born July 4, 1980) is the co-founder of Muslims For Bush, which dissolved in 2005. Hasan went on to co-found Muslims for America, a bipartisan think tank group.

According to his own bio (on the Muslims For America site), Hasan is a former tyro-public school teacher who taught in the East Los Angeles school system, in addition to large work in the field of environmental science, including issues on water and education. Hasan was also a former regular guest on Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher and CNBC's The Dennis Miller Show. Through his work with Muslims For America, he has been featured on MSNBC, PBS, and BBC TV. Hasan currently serves as a political commentator on Fox News and BBC Radio. Hasan has also written for the Washington Report on Middle Eastern Affairs, Naseeb.com, and currently, Middle East politics blog, Arabisto.com.

Hasan owns a land development business, Sangre De Cristo Capital LLC, in addition to a film production company, Rabia LLC, both based in Colorado. Hasan has received recognition from Kodak and Panavision for his filmmaking work. Hasan lives in Eagle County (Colorado) where he used to write for the Vail Daily. He served as a co-founder of the Young Republicans club of Eagle County and as a co-chair of finance for the Republican Party of Eagle County, during the summer and fall of 2007. Hasan is currently running for State Representative in Colorado, in House District 56, which encompasses Summit County, Lake County, and parts of Eagle County.

Hasan was born and raised in Colorado. He attained his Bachelors of Arts from Occidental College, where he majored in an Independent Pattern of Study called Urban & Environmental Filmmaking. He received his Masters in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Film Directing from Chapman University, in the spring of 2007.

He was born in Pueblo, Colorado.
