My Teacher is an Alien is a point and click adventure game based on the book series of the same name. You can take the perspective of the three main children in the series, Peter Thompson, Duncan Dougal or Susan Simmons.
After being in the game for a short while, the characters begin to suspect that one of the teachers is an alien after finding a strange device. They search the internet for some help on detecting aliens and a lot of the inside school game involves you collecting pieces for various items to create alien detection devices. There are four items you can create: One removes the alien's voice disguiser, one covers the suspect teacher in water, an alien sandwich made out of mothballs and white-bread and one that creates a noise which the alien is sensitive to. The water test and sandwich puts your character into detention if you are wrong and the sound test, which must be done over the school's loudspeakers, always puts your character into detention.
Challenges
During the course of the game you will encounter small challenges similar to mini-games. Each character has a certain amount of skill when it comes to these games. One of these minigames is if your character is in the air ducts and you become under attack by rats.
If the player goes through the halls, bullies may appear and throw stink bombs. If the player fails to dodge the stink bombs, he or she will be forced to sit out the rest of the period.
