Capitol Mall is a major roadway in the city of Sacramento that leads to the iconic Tower Bridge which connects Downtown Sacramento with the Yolo County city of
West Sacramento . The Capitol Mall was previously also known as State Route 275, but was relinquished to the city in January 2006. "The Wells Fargo Center", located at 400 Capitol Mall, is currently the tallest building located in Sacramento at 33 stories (30 on ground, 3 below) and convert|429|ft|m high. It won the BOMA Building of the Year award in 1994. A museum dedicated to the history of Wells Fargo in the Sacramento area is located in the ground floor lobby of the skyscraper. Il Fornaio is a popular restaurant located in the Wells Fargo Center.

Sacramento Regional Transit (Sacramento RT) has two light rail stations located on the mall. The 7th and Capitol Station is for inbound trains only while the station at 8th and Capitol is for outbound trains. There are also bus stops located on the mall.
