Stoke, Crewe and Nantwich

Stoke is a civil parish in the Crewe and Nantwich district of Cheshire, England. The settlement of Stoke Bank (at SJ 616 565) lies 3½ miles to the north west of Nantwich. The parish also includes the settlements of Barbridge and Verona. The Barbridge junction on the Shropshire Union Canal lies just to the north of the parish; the main line of the canal runs north–south through the parish and the Middlewich branch runs east–west across it. The Hurleston junction also lies immediately south of the parish. The parish includes the north-eastern part of the Hurleston Reservoir, the majority of which is in Hurleston. The A51 runs north–south through the parish.
