John Avila (born January 14, 1957 in San Gabriel, California) is an Mexican-American bassist and music producer. He is perhaps best known as the bassist of the Los Angeles based New Wave band Oingo Boingo from 1984 to 1995. He was also a member/co-founder of the group Food for Feet from 1981 to 1991. Avila has worked with many other musical acts including Psychotic Aztecs and KanaWormz, and owns and operates his own recording studio, Brando's Paradise.
