"Epitonium bucknilli" is a species of small predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Epitoniidae, the wentletraps.

Distribution

This wentletrap is endemic to north east New Zealand.

Habitat

This species is found in sandy, shallow water in open coast situations.

hell description

The shell is small and narrow, with a very slender spire, and sculptured with numerous sharp lamellose axial ribs, about 18 to 20 per whorl, the interstices delicately spirally striated.

The shell coloration is a shining white.

Shell height is up to 16.5 mm, and width is up to 7 mm.
