24 October 2004 , is connected to this MTR station. The station now serves as the interchange station between the East Rail Line, and was once planned to be the future interchange to the once-proposed Canton Road Station of the Kowloon Southern Link - an extension of the HK-MTR lines|West Rail.tation layout
Platforms 1 and 2 share the same island platform. Passengers wishing to change to the East Rail Line should take the escalator up to the concourse, and leave the MTR system. Then they have to exit through Exit F or G, and walk along the Middle Road or Mody Road subway system respectively to reach the East Tsim Sha Tsui station.
