By Light

By Light was founded in 2002 by a group of retired senior military officers and telecommunications industry veterans. By Light is a Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business specializing in IT engineering services. Most business is with U.S. Defense, Civilian and Intelligence Agencies. The current headquarters is in Arlington, Virginia.

Leadership

Bob Donahue Jr., Founder & President: Prior to founding By Light, Bob served as the Program Manager for the DISN Expansion Program. He is a retired military officer.

LTG (Ret) Robert Donahue Chief Executive Officer: Prior to joining By Light, Donahue served as Lieutenant General for the US Army. He is the father to the President of By Light, Bob Donahue Jr.

Current contracts

GIG-BE

Global Information Grid-Bandwidth Expansion (GIG-BE) is a network owned by DISA whose claim is to be the largest network of the US government. By Light was awarded the sub-contract from SAIC to install and maintain the infrastructure at each of the network nodes.

USSOCOM SCAMPI

USSOCOM SCAMPI Network that provides tactical communications to USSOCOM. This network delivers voice, data and video teleconferencing services via ATM and time division multiplexer (TDM) technology. By Light provides the engineering design, and equipment installation.

PEO EIS Technology Applications Office (TAO)

PEO EIS TAO is a lab specializing in life-cycling network engineering. By Light provided a large set of the design/build services within the office.
