The Windmill Herald

The Windmill Herald

"The Windmill Herald" is a newspaper for Dutch immigrants in Canada. It is published by the Vanderheide Publishing Company of Langley, British Columbia. It is printed in a tabloid newspaper format and appears semimonthly.

The Windmill Herald brings a selection of short news stories about the Netherlands and also has a strong emphasis on church news, relating in specific to the Dutch Reformed Church and its various offshoots in Canada, such as the Reformed Church in America (RCA), the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRC), and the Netherlands Reformed Congregations. The Windmill, as it is commonly known to its readers, contains a full page of family news, listing births, deaths, marriages and engagements in the Dutch Reformed Communities in North America. It also lists appointments of pastors to various churches.

Originally appearing under the title 'Goed Nieuws' (Good News) The Windmill Herald was first published in 1957.
