Throne Room is the sixth studio album by multiple Grammy winning gospel artist CeCe Winans. In comparison for Winans' previous projects, this one is more inspirational with more traditional songs. This was not one of Winans' most commercially successful projects as the only single spawned from the release did not even chart. Winans' followup album, Purified, did much better.

Album Background

Winans had talked of a followup album to Alabaster Box but delayed in releasing it, upon finally recording the album, Winans stated [ [http://www.cecewinans.com/index.php?content=about CeCe Winans Official Biogrophy] ] :

ingles and Music Video

While no "official" music video was shot for Throne Room, AOL Video and the Urge Store (among others) regonized footage from Winans' concert DVD as a music video for "Hallelujah Praise". "Hallelujah Praise" was the only single spawned from the release.

Bonus DVD

The first 1,000 copies of Throne Room were issued with a DVD that contained exclusive interviews, behind the scenes moments, live performances, and the "More Than What I Wanted" music video.

Touring

After the release of the album, Winans embarked on a 25 city tour with no admission fees. The success of the concert warranted a DVD and was released in 2004.
