"Servant of Evil" is the eighth episode of "Dungeons & Dragons." Karrox, a giant of a man, is blackmailed into Venger's service. If he doesn't serve Venger, Venger will destroy his homeland. This day is Bobby's birthday but when his friends are taken prisoner he has to befriend Karrox and give away Dungeon Master's birthday present in order to save them.

Plot

The adventure starts with Venger ordering his servant Karrox, to throw a dwarf into his Prison of Agony. Karrox refuses but Venger threatens to destroy his homeland if he disobeys. Karrox reluctantly complies.

Meanwhile, Bobby wakes up and is greeted by his friends who bear gifts. They wish him a happy birthday and Eric gives him a gift of several small creatures that leap away. Bobby playfully takes Uni and chases after them. As soon as Bobby leaves, the rest of the group is attacked by lizardmen. Though they fight back and nearly beat their attackers, they are soon overwhelmed and captured.

Bobby returns only to find his friends are gone and only Dungeon Master waits for him. Dungeon Master informs Bobby about the fate of his friends and gives him a gift: an amulet that will defend Bobby against Venger's magic. He then tells him that he will have to give the amulet away sometime. Dungeon Master finishes by telling Bobby where to find the Prison of Agony.

The rest of the group is taken to Venger along with their weapons. However, Venger isn't willing to let the kids go believing them to be too dangerous to leave free. They are forced into the dungeon and locked away. Inside the dungeon, the group is confronted by the several prisoners but they prove to be only minor annoyances. Soon, they are approached by Strongheart, a human warrior who also defied Venger. He shows the kids an exit he dug in the wall but when they try to use it, they are attacked by a slime beast and forced back in.

Elsewhere, Bobby continues his search but feels that he's lost. Dungeon Master speaks to him through the amulet and indirectly tells him to look for the prison over the largest volcano. He makes his way to the prison and is confronted by Venger who demands Bobby's club. Bobby refuses and is attacked by Venger's magic. Fortunately, the amulet does its job and saves him from harm. However, Karrox is forced to capture him. Uni manages to force Karrox to let go and Bobby drops the bridge to the prison. Karrox continues his pursuit and almost falls off the bridge into the lava. Bobby can't leave him to die and saves him. Karrox explains his plight and tells Bobby he has a plan. Karrox then fakes Bobby's capture and leaves him with his club. Bobby gives Karrox the amulet to ensure that he won't be stopped.

Later that night, Karrox lowers the bridge and with his club, Bobby is able to break free of the prison. The group escapes with Strongheart and make their way to Venger's castle where a magic weapon, a golden hammer belonging to Strongheart, is stored. However, Venger anticipated this and has a group of lizardmen armed with the children's weapons, attack. They manage to take Strongheart's hammer but Karrox intervenes. He takes the weapons away from the lizardmen and gives them to the kids. Venger summons a lava dragon that proves immune to most of the group's attacks but Presto manages to defeat it. Angered, Venger causes the volcano to erupt. Karrox attempts to restrain Venger but Venger manages to get both himself and Karrox out in a bubble of magic.

The group escapes and find Venger ready to kill Karrox. The amulet forces Venger's magic back at him and causes him to fall into the lava. Hank then lowers the bridge allowing the prisoners to escape. They get away from the volcano before it erupts but they see Venger's image in the smoke. He vows that they will all pay for their actions.

For the time being, things are okay but Karrox worries about his homeland. Bobby, however, tells him to keep the amulet so that he can protect his homeland.
