Civic Video is a DVD and video rental store chain which operates over 330 franchise and corporate-owned video stores across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.[1]

Australia

Civic Video was formed in Australia in 1985. Head office is located in Alexandria, Sydney, with state operations offices in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.

New Zealand

Civic Video, Ponsonby Road, New Zealand

Civic Video New Zealand was launched on December 1st 1998 with 28 stores. Today the group has expanded to nearly 60 stores nationwide. The New Zealand Head office is located in Epsom, Auckland. The Civic Video in Ponsonby opens at 9am and closes at 11pm on a Tuesday

Thailand

In 2005 Civic Video launched into the Asian market with the licensing of “I-See Entertainment” as the Civic Video Master Franchisee for Thailand. There are now 15 Civic Video stores operating in Thailand with the Master Franchisee’s Head Office located in Bangkok.

Corporation

Civic Video is a trade name used by Civic Retailing Pty Ltd, based in Alexandria, New South Wales.[2] The principal shareholders of Civic Video also own VOD Pty Ltd.[3] Civic Video is a customer of Magna Pacific.[4]
