A. G. Street

Arthur G. Street was an English writer and broadcaster. Born 7 April 1892 Died 21 July 1966.

He was born and lived most of his life at Ditchampton Farm, Wilton, Wiltshire, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, UK. He wrote under the name A. G. Street. He was also a prolific radio broadcaster appearing on The Brains Trust and many other BBC programs. His books were mainly light fiction, often based on the Wiltshire farming community or autobiographical. The most famous was a book called "Farmer's Glory", which described his time in Canada and how he returned to Wiltshire.

His sister Dorothea, was also a published author of a children's book (The Dog-Leg Garden - Oxford 1951).

His daughter Pamela Street was an author and poet. Her books include "My Father A.G.Street" London 1969, which is the primary source of biographical information.
