Sueko Matsueda Kimura

Sueko Matsueda Kimura is an American artist. She was born in Honolulu in 1912. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Hawaii, where she met her fellow art student and future husband Keichi Kimura. She also attended the Chouinard Art Institute (Los Angeles), Columbia University (New York City), the Brooklyn Museum Art School (New York City) and the Art Students League.

She worked for the Hawaii State Foundation for Culture and the Arts, the Contemporary Arts Center, the State Department of Education Artmobile, International Savings and Loan, Kaiser Hawaii-Kai Development Co. and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

The Hawaii State Art Museum and the Honolulu Academy of Arts hold work by Sueko Matsueda Kimura.
