1994 in Armenian football

1994 in Armenian football was the third season of indepentent football after the split-up from the Soviet Union. Professional football existed of two divisions, the Armenian Premier League (containing 15 teams) and the Armenian First League (10 teams). Out of the 15 Premier Legaue teams, four would relegate, while only the First League winner would promote for the 1995 season, reducing the top level to 12 clubs.

Premier League

*Before the start of the season Impuls Dilijan withdrew from competition.
*Aznavour Noyemberyan were promoted to replace Impuls Dilijan.
*Homenmen-Skif Yerevan changed their name into ASS-SKIF Yerevan.
*Zvartnots Echmiadzin were renamed to SKA-Arai Echmiadzin.
*Homenetmen AOSS Yerevan changed their name into AOSS Yerevan.
*FC Shirak won their second Armenian championship.

League table

First League

*Before the start of the season Akhtamar Sevan, FC Artashat, SKIF Yerevan, FC Masis, Araks Oktemberyan, Karin Yerevan, Luis Ararat and Achin Nor-Achin withdrew from competition.
*Aznavour Noyemberyan were promoted to the Premier League to replace Impuls Dilijan who withdrew.
*Lernagorts Vardenis changed their name into Sipan Vardenis.
*Momik Yeghegnadzor changed their name into Arpa Yeghegnadzor.
*Avtogen Vanadzor changed their name into FC Vanadzor.
*BKMA Yerevan was promoted out of the Armenian Second League.
