Nuno Claro Simões Coimbra (born January 7, 1977 in Tondela), known as Claro, is a Portuguese footballer who plays CFR Cluj in the Romanian first division, as a goalkeeper.

Football career

During his Portuguese career, Claro played always in the lower leagues (second division or lower). He started his career at local giants Académico de Viseu, and his top level input consisted in 13 matches with Moreirense FC, from 2003–05 - in January 2007, he signed with F.C. Paços de Ferreira from lowly S.L. Nelas, but could only be third-choice, being released after a few months.

Claro signed with CFR Cluj of Romania in the 2007 summer, joining a host of compatriots and winning the top division in his debut season, contributing with 15 matches.
