Harry E. Rowbottom

Harry Emerson Rowbottom (November 3, 1884 - March 22, 1934) was a U.S. Representative from Indiana.

Born in Aurora, Indiana, Rowbottom moved with his parents to Ludlow, Kentucky, in 1885.He attended the common schools.He was graduated from Ludlow High School in 1901.He attended Kentucky State College at Lexington 1902-1904. Salesman of lubricating oils 1904-1907.He attended the Cincinnati Business College and was graduated in accountancy in 1907.He engaged as an auditor in Cincinnati 1907-1910 and in Chicago 1910-1912.He moved to Evansville, Indiana, in 1913 and was employed as chief clerk for the Indiana Refining Co. 1913-1918.He served as member of the Indiana State house of representatives 1919-1923.

Rowbottom was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-ninth, Seventieth, and Seventy-first Congresses (March 4, 1925-March 3, 1931).He was an unsuccessful for reelection in 1930 to the Seventy-second Congress.He engaged as commercial agent for a truck line.He died in Evansville, Indiana, March 22, 1934.He was interred in Locust Hill Cemetery.
