Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) hairpin structure

The Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) hairpin is a small hairpin structure found in the 5' UTR of Japanese encephalitis virus and related viruses. This element is significantly over-represented upon host cell infection and it has been suggested that the family may play a role in regulating RNA synthesis.
