Ronald Wray Hodges (born June 22, 1949 in Rocky Mount, Virginia) was a Major League Baseball catcher who played his entire career for the New York Mets. Hodges was drafted by the Mets in 1972. He made his debut with the Mets on June 13, 1973, when injuries afflicted the Mets' other catchers, Jerry Grote and Duffy Dyer. Hodges was on the Mets' postseason roster in 1973 and played in one game in the 1973 World Series, drawing a walk in his only plate appearance. Hodges continued to play for the Mets for all or parts of 12 seasons, retiring in 1984. Hodges ended his Major League career with 666 games, 1426 at bats, 19 home runs, 147 rbis, a batting average of .240 and an on base percentage of .342.
