HMS Caledonia

Five Royal Navy ships and one shore base have borne the name HMS "Caledonia" after the Latin name for Scotland:

* "Caledonia", 120-gun ship of the line launched in 1808.
* "Caledonia", a brig built in Malden, Ontario and launched on 1810.
* "Caledonia", a broadside ironclad of the Prince Consort class launched in 1862.
* "Caledonia", Built as HMS Impregnable in 1810, 120-gun ship of the line, she became a training ship in 1862, was renamed HMS Kent in 1888, renamed HMS Caledonia in 1891, and continued to serve as a training ship until 1906 when she was sold for breaking up.
* "Caledonia", a cadet training ship, formerly RMS "Majestic".
* The present HMS "Caledonia" is a naval base established in 1939 at Rosyth, Fife, Scotland
