Wally Buttsworth

Wally Buttsworth

Wallace 'Wally' Buttsworth (21 January 1917 - 22 May 2002) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Bombers during the 1940s. He also represented Western Australia at first class cricket and is the older brother of Fred Buttsworth.

A defender, Buttsworth was a best and fairest for Essendon three times and was named at centre half back in the club's 'Team of the Century'.
