Distance Diagnostics Through Digital Imaging

Distance Diagnostics through Digital Imaging (DDDI) is the name of a system, developed at the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, to allow textual information and descriptive images to be submitted directly from Georgia county Extension offices, for rapid diagnosis of plant and pest disease issues by resource professionals at the University. Since its inception in the late 1990s, universities throughout the United States have adapted this system for their use.[citation needed]

The system utilizes conventional software and hardware, and has taken advantage of the Internet and the World Wide Web to attempt to improve the convenience of accessing such material as needed by various individuals.
