Jim Burt, Jr.

Jim Burt Jr. (born April 23, 1981 in Allendale, New Jersey) is the son of Jim Burt (a former NFL American football player who played nose tackle for the Giants team that won Super Bowl XXI and the 49ers team that won Super Bowl XXIV). Burt Jr. was famously carried on his father's shoulders after the Giants won Super Bowl XXI.

Burt Jr. was a standout linebacker for Bergen Catholic High School. He was on the Bergen Catholic three-time State Championship Team from 1995-1998. He received 1st team All-State as well as 1st Team All-County recognition two times as an inside linebacker. He was a valuable member of the Bergen Record's #1 'Team of the Century' in 1998 and the Star-Ledger's 'Top Ten in High School Football'. He was honored with the MSG Daily News Athlete of the Month, and held the record for all-time Bergen Catholic tackles.

He pursued baseball at the University of Miami and was a three-time Captain of the Miami Hurricanes baseball team. He was named second-team Verizon Academic All-America, only the second Miami baseball player ever honored by Verizon. He was a member of the President's, Provost's, and Athletic Director Honor Rolls, and was named to the Verizon Academic All-America District III Team in 2002 and 2003.

He began work at Superdome Sports in Waldwick, New Jersey, where he is now the Director of Operations.
