USS Saugus (YTB-780)

The USS "Saugus" (YTB-780) was a "Natick"-class" tugboat in the service of the United States Navy. Named for Saugus, Massachusetts, she was the third U.S. Naval vessel to bear the name.

Laid down on 8 December 1964 by the Marinette Marine Corporation of Marinette, Wisconsin; launched without ceremony on 3 August 1965; and delivered and placed in service at Boston on 10 November 1965. Designated for service overseas, she arrived in Scotland on 12 March 1966 to provide tug services to Navy ships at Holy Loch. Struck from the Naval Vessel Register October 28 1997, "Saugus" was sold on May 17 2000. Her final fate is unknown.
