Plot

After Bill survives a roof cave-in over his bed he has a religious experience which involves a romantic liaison with Reverend Stroup.

Cultural references

* The title of this episode is a play on the film The Passion of the Christ.
* This is the first time we're told why Reverend Stroup was forced to leave her former church: because of a relationship with a congregation member.
* During his rant involving the meaning of life, Boomhauer refers to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and its own answer to the meaning of life, 42.
