List of factions in Total War games

This article features a list of the factions in the "Total War" series of strategy games by Creative Assembly.Note: The rebels (grey) are a recurring feature in every Total War game. They are supposedto be completely unplayable. They are not the same as the Rebels of the Eastern/Western Roman Empires, who are distinguished "real" factions. Also, unplayable factions are often made playable by player created mods.
