Angelica Balos

Angelica Balos is a researcher at the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilisation in Deva, Romania where she specialises in mortuary practices of the second iron age (La Tene). She is a graduate of Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where she studied under Ioan Glodariu. Balos is director of the Măgura Uroiului Project, a multi-discipline archaeological excavation in Hunedoara County, Romania. She is one of the first archaeologists in Romania to adopt the mainstream Western systems of systematic excavations with an increased emphasis on research being carried out by specialists of many different auxiliary sciences.
