Instant on

In computers, instant on is the goal of being able to boot nearly instantaneously. Techniques being developed often involve magnetic RAM or deep sleep mode technologies. Fact|date=February 2007

Instant on software and use

For Laptops instant on technology is useful, because you can boot up one program instead of the entire operating system. One example of an instant on program is CyberLink PowerCinema.
