United States Senate election in Rhode Island, 2008

The 2008 United States Senate election in Rhode Island will take place on November 4, 2008. Jack Reed has announced he will seek a third term in the Senate. Owing to the heavily Democratic nature of Rhode Island and Reed's popularity (he was elected with 78.4% of the vote in 2002), this race is not expected to be competitive.
