Wing Ding

Wing Ding is an annual concert held by WXRX 104.9 FM, in Rockford, Illinois, during Memorial Day weekend, that started years ago as a chicken wing competition but has evolved into a full blown rock concert. It started in 1993. Notable bands that have played over the years are Seether, Saliva, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, Three Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Buckcherry, Hinder, and many others.

2008

The 15th annual Wing Ding took place on May 25, 2008.

2007

The 14th annual Wing Ding took place on May 27, 2007 at the Rockford Speedway, and was sponsored by Hooters. Early estimates show that roughly 20,000 people came to Wing Ding this year, which is roughly 8,000 more than 2006.
