Starting football at the Noua Generaţie youth centre, he and teammate
Clement Pălimaru were picked up during the 2004-2005 season Politehnica Iaşi, being considered the most promising players from the centre at that time.Tincu is also an U-21 international. He has played in four matches and has scored once, against Northern Ireland (score 2-0).
