The 1990 German Grand Prix was a Formula One race held at Hockenheimring on July 29, 1990. The circuit's fast nature resulted in several engine failures, although the four big teams of the era took all 6 points-paying positions.

It would prove to be the last Grand Prix under a divided Germany. Since 1951, the German Grand Prix was always held in West Germany.

Before the race, the Coloni team ditched the uncompetitive Subaru engine and used Ford power for the rest of the season.

Philippe Alliot was disqualified because marshals helped him rejoin the race after being blocked by the spinning Dallara of Emanuele Pirro.
