Ayan Panja

Dr Ayan Panja (b. June 1973, Essex) is a British Asian media doctor and writer.

A presenter (Dr Ayan) on "Street Doctor" on BBC One, his special interests include preventative and mind-body medicine, as well as mens health.

He is currently the senior partner of a busy NHS GP surgery in Haringey, North London.

After schooling at Brighton College in Sussex he took a medical degree at the Imperial College School of Medicine, followed by training in general practice in Buckinghamshire.

He has written two books including [http://www.medicalmiscellany.com "An Essential Medical Miscellany"] which is a collection of facts, figures and anecdotes about medicine and has also made contributions to various publications including the "British Medical Journal", the "Daily Mirror", "Men's Health", 'Healthy' Magazine, Metro, Scarlet and Health and Fitness Online. He is currently an expert columnist for Sweet Magazine.

A trained singer and interested in all aspects of voice, Ayan is a keen musician with ongoing interests in the performing and recording arts.
