Phil Spitalny

Phillip "Phil" Spitalny (b. November 7, 1890, Tetiev, Ukraine, Russian Empire [now independent Ukraine] - d. October 11, 1970, Miami Beach, Florida [ [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0819120/ Phil Spitalny] on IMDb.] ) was a jazz musician known for his work on the radio, for which he earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While imdb.com cites Spitalny's place of birth as Odessa, Ukraine, he was actually born in a Ukrainian town called Tetiev Fact|date=June 2008. He is buried in the Tetiever section of Ridge Road Cemetery #2 in a western suburb of Cleveland, Ohio with other members of his family.
