The Faceless Invasion

The Faceless Invasion

The Event

The Faceless Invasion is a day of mayhem in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The first ever recorded Faceless Invasion even was on March 31, 2007. The Faceless Invasion is like a scavenger hunt, but on crack. During the course of the day various teams will be asked to perform various tasks that will test the teams' intelligence, creativity, guts, and lack of shame. The teams journey around the city of Montréal, executing a series of tasks and collecting items, recording each step of the way on video and in photos. Each event the teams are asked to do is worth a value of points and the teams to accumulate the most points is the winner of a cash prize of at least $500 CDN. The teams consist of between 5-8 people and the competition is geared towards, but not limited to, students from the various universities in Montréal, including Concordia University, McGill University, Université de Montreal, and University of Quebec, Montreal. The most exciting part of the event is during the course of the day everyone in the teams is obligated to wear a Mexican Wrestling Mask to conceal their identity, hence the name "The Faceless Invasion".

Examples of Tasks

Example1:Make a house of cards (100-300)

A simple 1 deck house of cards would likely be judged at 100 points while an elaborate 4 deck house with turrets would be 300 points.

Example 2:Go to Parc Jean Drapeau and dig up a buried package that is 50 meters South from the fountain. (1000)

The team to hand in the item at the mid game checkpoint or the end of the event gets 2000 points. Of course, another team might try and steal it before it gets handed to the judges.

Example 3:Skinny-dip in a public pool (600-1200)

Teams can get themselves closer to the 1200 point value by having more members get in the pool and by making sure that the video doesn't look like crap. A gainer backflip wouldn't hurt either.

Example 4:Snort 1/3 of an ounce of vodka. Must be shot on one contiguous video including the cracking open of a new bottle of vodka. (400)

Example 5:Tattoo the Faceless Invasion logo (3" X 3") anywhere on your body (3000 points)

Example 6:Organize a giant dodge-ball game in Parc La Fontaine (400-1000)

The more people outside your team and the clever ways you attract them can get you closer to the 1000 points.

Example 7: Have sex in a church (4000-5000)

Nobody actually had sex in a church in Faceless Invasion, but one team did have sex outside of a church

----The Future

The Faceless Invasion's first year was 2007. Faceless Invasion is actively seeking partners in major Canadian and American cities to help host more Faceless Invasions in the near future.
