Mike Baird is an Australian politician of the Liberal Party of Australia. He is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as of the 2007 NSW State Election, succeeding long-running independent David Barr in the seat of Manly. He is the son of former New South Wales MLA and former Member for Cook, Bruce Baird. His sister is journalist Julia Baird. His has three children: Laura, Cate, and Luke. He spent 18 years in wholesale banking before being elected to the New South Wales Parliament in 2007.
