London Buses route 148 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to Transdev London.

History

Route 148 is one of the many routes created to help the congestion charge.

New Scania OmniCity entered the service in late 2006, the Volvo B7TL 10m / Alexander ALX400 were transferred to route 220, although they do show up and the Volvo B7TL 10.6m / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking were given to Stamford Brook to increase the frequency of route 27.

Recently some new Scania N230UD 10.5m/East Lancs Olympus double-deckers have entered service.

On 2 February 2008, Shepherd's Bush Station (Central Line) was closed and extra buses were put on route 148 for additional service. These included Plaxton bodied Volvo B7TLs from Metroline.
