Red beret

The Red Beret, as opposed to the Maroon beret is worn by many military police, paramilitary, and commando forces around the world.

Military Units

*Red berets are worn by the French Army's famed "Parachutistes Coloniaux" ("Colonial Paratroopers"), later renamed "Troupes de Marine" ("Marine Paratroopers") after independence. Their branch cap badge combines the silver-metal Airborne Troops' winged fist grasping a sword over a gold-metal Marine Troops fouled anchor.

Military police

Red berets are worn by the military police of many NATO and Commonwealth of Nations militaries.
*Royal Military Police - Provost branch of the British Army
*Feldjäger - Military Police of the German "Bundeswehr" wear the red beret but in the "Bundeswehr", all support troops wear the red beret.
