Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence

The transcripts of several of the Guantanamo captive administrative reviews name individuals who were believed to have served as the Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence. [http://www.defenselink.mil/pubs/foi/detainees/csrt/ARB_Transcript_Set_11_21662-22010.pdf#231 Summarized transcript (.pdf)] , from Mohamed Rahim's "Administrative Review Board hearing" - pages 231-242]

Mohammed Ibrahim

Two of the factors favoring the continued detention of Mohamed Rahim were that he acknowledged working under a man named Mohammed Ibrahim, and that a man named Mohammed Ibrahim was appoointed the Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence.

Notably, the Guantanamo intelligence analysts who compiled the factors asserted that the appointment was made by a member of al Qaida, not from within the Taliban's own leadership structure.
