Jack Rabbit Slim's

Jack Rabbit Slim's is the fictional 1950s-themed restaurant that Vincent (John Travolta) and Mia (Uma Thurman) visit on their "date" in the movie "Pulp Fiction" by Quentin Tarantino. Many restaurants, bars and bands across the world have since adopted the name in tribute to the movie.fact|date=April 2008

The scene

In the film, Mia takes Vincent to Jack Rabbit Slim's, a restaurant noted for its 1950s theme. The restaurant employs people who resemble 1950s personalities such as Ed Sullivan (the "maître d'"), Buddy Holly and Marilyn Monroe (both of whom are waiters). Besides regular seating, patrons can also sit in a replica of a 1950s automobile, which has a table and seating inside the car. Patrons can also order food named after personalities from the 1950s or earlier - when asked what kind of milkshake Mia would like, she's offered a choice of Amos and Andy (Chocolate) or Martin and Lewis (Vanilla). Vincent orders the Douglas Sirk Steak, while Mia has the Durward Kirby Burger. Both are given the option of having their meat "burnt to a crisp" or "bloody as hell".

The scene is notable for humanizing the character of Vincent (this is the one scene in the film that does not have Vincent discussing or using drugs or acting as an enforcer), as well as for the dance Vince and Mia perform to Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell".
