Isaac Byrd, II (born November 16, 1974 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers and also played college football at the University of Kansas. Isaac was a three sport athlete at Parkway Central High School and was recognized in football, baseball, and basketball, where he led his school to the state championship in all three sports. Isaac was soon sought after by many colleges for a number of positions in baseball and football, leading many of them to look at him as a quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back in football. He was also recruited as an outfielder and a pitcher in baseball, which was evident as he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 24th round as an outfielder. Because of academic requirement issues, Isaac was forced to turn away from high caliber colleges, but signed a letter of intent with the University of Kansas to play quarterback, where he would have to sit out his first year. Isaac would switch from quarterback to wide receiver in football, but would still earn All Big 8 honors. He would achieve the same success as an outfielder in baseball, which showed as he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 11th round, where he would play for their minor league farm system. Isaac was also drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 6th round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He would later start in Super Bowl XXXIV for the Tennessee Titans. He finished his career with the Carolina Panthers where he provided solid production. Isaac's older brother, Israel Byrd, played college football at Utah State and professionally for the New Orleans Saints
