Derrick Walker (born June 23, 1967 in Glenwood, Illinois) is a former professional American football player who played tight end for nine seasons for the San Diego Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Oakland Raiders.
Walker played for Michigan from 1986 to 1989 Michigan Wolverines football. He played high school football at Bloom High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Walker was the key contributor for the 1984 Bloom team which won a conference championship for the first time in recent memory. [Illinois H.S. football playoff records ]
Walker currently resides in suburban Detroit, Michigan and he is married to WDIV-TV Local4 News anchor Rhonda Walker.
