Overview

"The Dog Island" ("often typeset as "THE DOG Island") is a 2007 video game for the Wii and PlayStation 2 consoles in which players control a dog and must search for a special flower, which you can only find by achieving your goal to become a sniff master. The player interacts with various other animals in the game that give hints and information to aid on the quest. It was released on April 26 in Japan by Yuke's.

Plot

In the game, you get to choose your own dog from 48 different breeds. You also name and choose your dog's gender. Once you get in the game, you are told that your sibling has a very serious disease which cannot be cured by the doctor in Pupsville. So, your dog decides to take a ship to The Dog Island. However, the ship gets caught in the storm and the captain of the ship wants to turn back, but your dog jumps ship for the sake of their sibling. Soon, your dog is on The Dog Island. You are told by the doctor on The Dog Island that only a magical flower can cure your sibling's disease. So, your dog must go on a quest by becoming a sniff master and helping other dogs in search of the magical flower.
