Hospital Music is the third solo album by Canadian musician Matthew Good. It was released on July 31, 2007 [cite web | url=http://www.matthewgood.org/hospital-music/ | title=Hospital Music | accessdate=2007-05-29] Good performed nearly all the instruments himself, with the exception of drums and a few guitar and bass parts. [Good, Matthew. [http://www.matthewgood.org/2007/03/an-actual-entry-about-music/ "An Actual Entry About Music"] . MatthewGood.org. March 6, 2007. Additional information appears in a comment posted by Good in the same entry.] The album artwork was painted by Vancouver resident Jeremy Crowle.

"Born Losers" was featured as the "Single of the Week" on the American iTunes Store for the week starting July 31, 2007. "Hospital Music" debuted at #17 on the iTunes charts in its opening week, a feat which was called "unprecedented for an album with no label affiliation whatsoever." [ [http://www.chartattack.com/DAMN/2008/04/2904.cfm Matthew Good Ponders New Album, Distribution Model And Maybe Even A Hometown ] ] The feat was referred to as "the story the record labels have always feared." [ [http://www.laist.com/2007/08/04/who_needs_recor.php LAist: Who Needs Record Labels? Unsigned Canadian Matthew Good Debuts at #17 this week in US iTunes Store ] ] The debut was also significant due to Good's lack of previous success in the U.S. market, where he had previously released only one album - 2001's Beautiful Midnight, which failed to make a major impact on the U.S. charts.

"Hospital Music" debuted at #1 on the Canadian albums chart, selling over 11,000 copies in its first week of release. [Williams, John. [http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Artists/G/Good_Matthew/2007/08/08/4402550-ca.html "Matthew Good has great chart debut"] . JAM! Music. August 8, 2007.]

It was nominated for the 2008 Juno for Best Rock Album.
