The Journal of Media Economics

The Journal of Media Economics

"The Journal of Media Economics" is the primary scholarly publication devoted to the study of issues in media economics. It publishes research on economic and policy issues related to all media through a focus on industries, firms, and markets.

Established in 1988, its founding editor was Robert G. Picard. Alan B. Albarran became the second its second editor and it is currently jointly edited by Johannes Bauer, Stephen Lacy and Steven S. Wildman at Michigan State University.

The journal is published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. ISSN: 0899-7764

"The Journal of Media Economics" Award of Honor recognizes scholars whose work has played important roles in developing the field of media economics studies and its literature. Previous recipients have been Benjamin Compaine, Karl Erik Gustafsson, Stuart McFadyen, Robert G. Picard, Bruce Owen, Alfhonso Nieto, and Nadine Toussaint Desmoulins.
